Product Description

A unique view of surfer Francisco Porcella taming a big wave at Nazare.

Story behind the image:

This image was taken using a drone and the session took place on the 10th of November of 2023 during the first big swell of the season.
It's very rare that I get the immediate feeling of capturing a special image and this was one of those moments. It was a very tricky day for the surfers, with tough conditions and difficult moments but this wave was a beauty and Porcella did a great job assisted by his tow partner Martin Schricke.
This image won the Mercedes Benz Nazare Winter Sessions and was chosen to be published on the Yeti book "Waves" curated by John John Florence.
